ACCESSIBILITY
Effective October 20, 2026
MJB Cannabis wants everyone to be able to shop with us, in our store at 5777 Albert Place and online. We're committed to treating every customer with dignity, and to removing barriers for people with disabilities, in line with the BC Human Rights Code and the principles of the Accessible British Columbia Act: inclusion, adaptability, diversity, collaboration, self-determination and universal design.
Our website
We aim for our website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. That includes:
- Pages that work with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images.
- Text and buttons with strong colour contrast.
- A clear heading structure that works with screen readers.
- Animations that can be paused, and that calm down if your device is set to reduce motion.
- A search bar that opens with a keyboard, closes with the Escape key and keeps focus inside while it's open.
- Pages that adapt to phones, tablets and zoomed-in text.
Our online menu and ordering at shop.mjbcannabis.com is run by our ordering platform provider. We share accessibility feedback about it with them, and we'll help you place an order another way if you have trouble using it.
In our store
- Guide dogs and service dogs are always welcome, as the BC Guide Dog and Service Dog Act provides. Support people are welcome too, and must also be 19 or older to enter the store.
- Our budtenders are happy to read product labels and information aloud, explain products in plain language and take extra time with you.
- Tell us what you need, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is ongoing. We test our website with keyboard navigation and automated checks as we make changes, and we fix problems we find. Some content, such as product information supplied by brands, comes from third parties and may not always meet our standards.
Feedback and help
If something on our website or in our store makes it hard for you to shop, or you'd like information in another format, please tell us. We aim to respond within five business days.
