  • How old do you have to be to buy cannabis in BC?

You must be 19 or older to buy, use or have cannabis in British Columbia, and to enter a cannabis store. Everyone who comes into MJB Cannabis needs to be 19+, including friends who are just keeping you company.

  • What ID do I need to shop at MJB Cannabis?

Bring valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID that shows your date of birth, such as a driver's licence, BC Services Card with photo, BCID or passport.

  • Can I order online and pick up in store?

Yes. Browse our online menu, add what you like to your cart and choose pickup at MJB | Albert Place. Bring the ID that matches the name on your order when you come in.

  • How much cannabis can I buy at once in BC?

Adults can buy up to 30 grams of dried cannabis, or the equivalent in other products, in a single transaction. As a guide, 1 gram of dried cannabis equals 5 g of fresh cannabis, 15 g of edibles, 70 g of liquid product, 0.25 g of concentrates or 1 seed. Our budtenders will help you stay under the limit.

  • How much cannabis can I carry or keep at home in BC?

In public you can carry up to 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent. At home the limit is 1,000 grams per household, and adults can grow up to four plants per household.

  • Where can I smoke or vape cannabis in Prince George?

Generally, adults can smoke or vape cannabis where smoking and vaping tobacco is allowed. It isn't allowed inside public buildings or workplaces, in vehicles, on school property, at playgrounds, sports fields, skate parks and pools, within six metres of transit stops, or in parks outside designated areas. Prince George's Smoke and Vape Free Places Bylaw adds more no-smoking areas, and landlords and strata councils can set their own rules, so check before you light up.

  • Can I use cannabis at the store?

No. Cannabis can't be consumed in or around the store. Enjoy your purchase somewhere it's allowed, like at home.

  • Can I drive after using cannabis?

No. Driving while impaired by cannabis is illegal, and police in BC can issue a 90-day driving prohibition. Drivers in the Graduated Licensing Program (L and N) have zero tolerance. No one in a vehicle, passengers included, can use cannabis. When you drive home from MJB Cannabis, keep your purchase sealed or out of reach, for example in the trunk.

  • Can I travel with cannabis or take it across the border?

Within Canada you can travel with up to 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent, including on domestic flights. Taking cannabis across the Canadian border is illegal in either direction, even to places where it's legal, like many U.S. states.

  • Can I shop at MJB Cannabis if I'm visiting Prince George?

Yes. You don't need to live in BC. Any adult 19+ with valid government-issued photo ID, such as an out-of-province driver's licence or a passport, can shop with us.

  • Is MJB Cannabis a licensed dispensary?

Yes. MJB Cannabis is a licensed non-medical (recreational) cannabis store in British Columbia. Every product we sell is legal, tested and sourced from licensed producers across Canada.

  • Do I need a medical document to shop?

No. We're a recreational store, so anyone 19+ with valid ID can shop without a prescription or medical document. If you're a medical patient, our budtenders are still happy to help you find products for your needs.

  • What products do you carry?

Flower, pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls, vapes (510 carts, pods and disposables), concentrates, edibles (gummies, chocolates and more), cannabis beverages, oils and capsules, topicals, seeds and accessories. Browse the full menu.

  • Why do cannabis edibles in Canada only have 10 mg of THC?

Federal rules cap edible cannabis at 10 mg of THC per package. That makes doses easier to control, and it's why edibles are a good place to start low and go slow.

  • I'm new to cannabis. Where should I start?

Start low and go slow. Smoking or vaping usually takes effect within minutes and fades within a few hours. Edibles and drinks can take 30 minutes to 2 hours or more to kick in and last much longer, so wait before having more. Our budtenders are happy to walk you through doses and product types in a judgment-free way.

  • What's the difference between indica, sativa and hybrid?

These labels are a rough guide to how a strain might feel: indica is often linked with relaxing, sativa with uplifting and hybrids sit in between. Effects really depend on the THC and CBD levels, the terpenes and you, so tell us the vibe you're after and we'll suggest options.

  • What do THC and CBD numbers on the label mean?

THC is the compound that makes you feel high. CBD doesn't, and it can soften THC's effects. In Canada, flower is labelled in mg/g, so 220 mg/g THC means about 22% THC. Edibles and drinks are labelled in milligrams per package.

  • Can I grow cannabis at home in BC?

Yes. Adults can grow up to four plants per household, from seeds or seedlings bought from a licensed seller. Plants can't be visible from public spaces off the property, and they can't be grown in a home used as a daycare. We carry seeds, so ask us what's in stock.

  • Can I return a product?

All sales are final, however If something isn't right with your purchase or a product is defective, call us at (250) 964-3665 or stop by the store with your receipt and we'll do our best to make it right.

  • Can you help me find a strain for a specific effect?

Yes. Tell us whether you're after energy, focus, creativity, relaxation or better sleep, and we'll suggest strains, terpene profiles and formats that fit. Ask a budtender or call us!
